Camp Info:
Family Camp - TBA Season 2011
Come and see what all the fuss is about! Have a weekend with your family and let your children show you around High Flight Adventures. Take a break from the hectic pace of life and enjoy some recreation with your kids, our delicious camp food and the relaxing atmosphere hosted by our great staff who will lead the program! Learn how to build and fly a rocket, a model airplane, work on real airplanes, enjoy our many challenge courses with your family and friends.
There has been an interest from our camper parents and most of our volunteers/suppliers over the years in attending High Flight Adventures with or without their kids, to see what camp is all about. We listened and in 2011 we are again offering an organized Family Camp in June before our summer season starts! We can house 10 families (any size) in our camper tents. Bring your sleeping bag and clothes, we provide the rest!
Reserve now: TBA Saturday(10:00) to Sunday (16:00)

Leadership Camp - TBA 3rd session - $799
This one week program, has been developed for High Flight campers who have passed the regular camp age, or who have attended Camp at least 2 times.
Alumni 16 year-olds, who are not necessarily interested in becoming a staff member but who are still interested in camp life and leadership development will benefit from this one-week program. Alumni that are interested in applying to be staff must have attended this camp at least once.
We plan to offer:
-
Hands-on experience in the development of hard skills such as aircraft manufactor, rocket flying, safety, and camp-site preparation
-
Some class-room work in the areas of lesson-planning/teaching/leadership
-
Campers will be exposed to more of the leadership skills they participated in as campers. ie:planning and executing programs, co-teaching at games and challenge cources and camper management. The campers will be practising their new skills on each other.
-
Each senior leader will be given a Recreational ground school coures they can use towards their recreational flying permit.
Additionally there will be regular camp involvement at all activities with an emphasis on skills development. In this camp, less emphasis on flying and more emphasis on skill/mentorship development.
If you have any questions we are more than happy to answer them. This program has been added due to demand.
For our 16 year old campers who are not ready for staff, but who wish to continue their skills development and camp involvement for another year, this program will give additional education/skill for a 2011 staff application.
